Kingston Literacy & Skills (KL&S)
To create a world where everyone has the literacy and skills to achieve their full potential through access to education and employment, increased independence and community participation.
Kingston Literacy & Skills (KL&S) is a non-profit community organization composed of professional staff and dedicated volunteers who deliver upgrading and workforce preparation programming to adults and families in Kingston and surrounding communities, free of charge. Since our founding in 1977, we have been committed to supporting adults with low literacy skills, working with them to achieve their goals of further education, employment or independence. Over the years, we have grown to include Family and Early Literacy (FEL) as well as Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) programming.
